Recently as you (may) know, Google is having a lot of changes. From employees being laid off to quantum computing hardware and Bard AI answer to ChatGPT, so for someone that uses Google services on a daily basis, the simple life can sometimes get easier or harder.
I would like to start with YouTube Music… Recently I was annoyed by the fact that YouTube Music app started to play the music video versions of my songs, so a 3 minutes song is not 5 minutes and usually starts with a dialog or any other sounds from the music video. This usually doesn’t mind me when I’m at home, but while driving and hearing some tires screeching near me, it is a different feeling before I realize that it’s from my car audio system…
Right now, Google just announced that Google Podcasts will stop working in 2024 and the podcasts will be available in YouTube Music app. I just hope that it won’t be mixed with my music.
Going next to Google Home mini speakers… Not only that they need a reboot more than once per week now because it stops replying to my commands and it just turns off the LEDs after I give a command, but it started to get worst at speech recognition, I tell “Turn off the lights” and it switches on the lights, or when I say “Turn on the computer” – reply: “This device isn’t set up” so I need to tell “Turn on computer” (without “the”) and it do the magic.
